Iain C McGregor
I studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture at the Glasgow School of Art and after qualifying, I worked in Glasgow, Edinburgh and in the Scottish Borders. In 1998 I opened my first architectural office in Glasgow and built up a busy, small practice working mainly on housing projects for a variety of clients and on projects for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Then, in 2004, I changed direction and joined a small family developer based in Stewarton, Ayrshire where, as Design Director, I was in charge of all in-house architectural work on a number of projects, culminating in a £14m renovation and new build of Lainshaw Estate in Stewarton.
The housing downturn in recent years has seen me take another change of direction and I now run a small architectural office again in Glasgow and combine this with a love of music and photography!
