Proposed New Dwelling in Hamilton
The client requested that we prepare suggestions to provide an additional bedroom at first floor level as an extension, whilst at the same time providing a ground level covered area to act as a car port.
Having put forarwd a few proposals, the client has settled on the idea of a 'modern box' on stilts so that a clear destinction is made between the symmetry of the existing house and the new build portion.
Work to former rear conservatory is now complete and work to the first floor side extension is well under way.

Rear Extension @ Victoria Park Drive North, Glasgow
The client wished to extend out into the back garden to provide a larger kitchen, dinning area and small sitting area. In addition, a new opening was formed in the existing wall between the former dinning room and the existing living room.
Yew Tree Cottage @ Lainshaw Stables, Stewarton
P B Properties bought the derelict outbuilding which formed part of the former stables to Lainshaw House and renovated it into a 3 bedroom, two storey house.
As part of the renovation of the property, a new glazed 'day room' was added to the side of the existing building. This provided a light and airy space which afforded the owners an internal room from which they could enjoy the adjacent woodland area.
Renovation of Lainshaw House, Stewarton
Travis Homes Ltd acquired Lainshaw House and gardens in 2000 and over the next few years obtained planning permission to renovate the house and construct 36 new build detached and terraced houses within the grounds.
The main house was converted into eight 2/3 bedroom flats and the adjacent buildings were converted into three 2 bedroom cottages and two 3 bedroom semi-detached units.
The renovation of Lainshaw House was short listed in the Glasgow Herald for Best Renovation Project in 2010.
New build @ Lainshaw House, Stewarton
For this project, 32 new build detached and 4 terraced houses were constructed within the adjacent grounds and former orchard of Lainshaw House. The new build ranged from 3 to 4 bedroom properties, the smallest of which was 167 sq m and the largest was 325 sq m.
The construction was 'traditional build' with natural slate roofs and natural / reconstituted stone walling to the front and render to the sides and rear. The new estate, as a whole, was short listed for best Housing Project by What House Awards, 2010
New Houses @ Bridgend, Stewarton
This project consisted of 4 No terraced units and associated parking. The site was a major challenge as a significant amount of an existing hill side had to be removed off site and the resultant 'cliff' stabilised prior to the construction of the houses.
The completed project consisted of one 3 bed cottage unit of 145 sq meters and three 3 bed terraced units approximately 100 sq meters.
